<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately determining whether image formation is normal or defective. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 has a both-sides reading section 80 in a conveyance path between the exit of the fixing section 78 of an image forming section 70 and an inversion switching gate 95. The image forming section 70 forms images on paper on the basis of image data. The both-sides reading section 80 simultaneously reads both sides of the paper after the image formation. On the basis of the data on both sides read by the both-sides reading section 80 and the image data, a determination is made whether the image formation is normal or defective. When the image formation is determined to be defective, paper determined that image formation is defective is ejected to a sub-tray 3b which is different from a main tray 3a on which paper determined that image formation is normal is ejected, and an image formation defect is displayed on a display section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
