PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container made of a hydrophilic material capable of preventing liquid from leaking from a spout having an externally-connected pipe inserted therein when the liquid as a medium of water is poured into or discharged from the container with a spout made of the hydrophilic material. SOLUTION: A highly absorptive resin 7 is filled in a joined section between the spout 4 of the container 2 made of the hydrophilic material and a connection pipe 5 of an outer storage tank, and a leakage of water from the joined section is prevented by making use of an absorptive swelling effect of the highly absorptive resin.
