PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel frame beam having reinforced concrete beam ends, which ensures sufficient shear capacity at both the beam ends, and facilitates construction thereof. SOLUTION: The steel frame beam 1 having the reinforced concrete beam ends has a steel frame 2 formed of an H-steel having upper and lower flanges 2a, and the beam ends 3 formed of reinforced concrete and extending to the steel frame 2. Each of the beam ends 3 is connected to a reinforced concrete column 20. Specifically, a flat bar 6 having a continuous U-shaped side face is protruded from the steel frame 2 to the ends, except for proximal ends of upper and lower side portions 6a, 6b, and the upper and lower side portions 6a, 6b of the flat bar 6 are connected to inner surfaces of the upper and lower flanges 2a of the steel frame 2, respectively, by bolts 7. The portion of the flat bar 6, protruded from the steel frame 2 is embedded in the beam end 3 formed of the reinforced concrete. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
