Disclosed are: a method for producing a good-quality creamy inulin composition having excellent processing properties and taste/texture; and others. Specifically disclosed are: a method for producing a creamy composition by adding an inulin component containing inulin having a degree of polymerization of 5 to 29 in an amount of 95% or more or a mixture of the inulin component to water of ambient temperature and then agitating the resulting mixture; a creamy inulin composition produced by the method; and a food, a beverage or a feed each comprising the creamy inulin composition.
