A solid composition for the production of a chlorine dioxide solution with excellent long-term stability is provided to obtain a high yield of chlorine dioxide, prevent materials such as chlorite(ClO2-) or hydrochloric acid(ClO3-) harmful to the human body from being produced when the solid composition is dissolved into water, and prevent individual raw materials from reacting with each other in a solid composition state even when the solid composition is stored for a long time. A composition for the production of a chlorine dioxide solution comprises: material formed in a solid phase to provide chlorine in an aqueous solution phase; a solid type organic acid or inorganic acid with a pKa value of 4 or less; sodium chlorite; and sodium bicarbonate. The material formed in a solid phase to provide chlorine in an aqueous solution phase is calcium hypochlorite, sodium dichloro isocyanuric acid, or sodium bromo chloro isocyanuric acid chloramine T. A tablet for the production of a chlorine dioxide solution comprises an upper layer(A) consisting of an organic acid of calcium hypochlorite, sodium dichloro isocyanuric acid, or sodium bromo chloro isocyanuric acid chloramine T, a lower layer(B) of sodium chlorite and sodium bicarbonate, and an intermediate layer(C) formed between the upper and lower layers as a separation layer separating the upper and lower layers, the intermediate layer consisting of a water-soluble polymer, salt, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, or mixtures thereof. |
