<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of an excellent decorative compact, in which tongued and grooved pattern having various impressions can be formed inexpensively and easily and, in addition, the specification of the pattern can be changed flexibly, and the decorative compact obtained by the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: A lid plate 7 in the lid body 4 of a compact container comprises a transparent layer 8 made of transparent member and a colored layer 9.
