PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a tone wheel capable of being integrally fixed on a metal reinforced ring without deforming and damaging a ring-like magnetic body. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the tone wheel composes a rotation detection magnetic encoder E of a magnetic sensor 9 fixed on a fixed side member 5 by including the metal reinforced ring 13 mounted to be integrally fitted to a rotation side member 4 and the ring-like magnetic body 14 fixed on the metal reinforced ring and molded including magnetic powder. The ring-like magnetic body provides an elastic material arrangement part 14c in the end circumferential direction, composes a compound material A with an elastic material 15 having a shape capable of being combined in the elastic material arrangement part. The end of the metal reinforced ring is folded and formed on the compound member side after the compound member being arranged on a face opposing to the magnetic sensor of the metal reinforced ring. The end of the compound member is restrained by the folded part 13c for integral fixation, and the tone wheel sandwiching the elastic material between the metal reinforced ring and the ring-like magnetic body is obtained.
