PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the used amount of pure water circulated to an electrode of an electrode type water analyzer, and also to reduce waste water treatment cost in a waste water treatment device of the pure water. SOLUTION: When a sample is subjected to water quality analysis, a sample valve 2 on a pipe of a power plant or the like such as a thermal power plant is opened, and the sample is supplied to the electrode 3 of the electrode type water analyzer on the downstream. On the other hand, when the sample is not subjected to the water quality analysis, the sample valve 2 is closed, and the pure water is supplied to the electrode 3 of the electrode type water analyzer by opening a dummy water valve 5 of a pure water tank 4, to thereby circulate the pure water to the electrode 3, and after elapse of a fixed time, a sample water outlet valve 6 on the downstream of the electrode 3 of the electrode type water analyzer is closed, and the dummy water valve 5 is also closed, and the pure water is allowed to stay in the electrode 3 to prevent the electrode 3 from being dried.
