PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scum recovery apparatus making it easy to set timing of the start of scum recovery at the scum incoming inlet on the surface of water. SOLUTION: The scum recovery apparatus comprises a scum skimmer 30 supported in a tiltable way so as to direct the scum incoming inlet 30a to the proceeding direction of the raking up plate 20, a timing setting mechanism 50 setting the timing of tilting the scum skimmer 30, a drive mechanism 40 tilting the scum skimmer 30 according to the set timing, and a balance weight 33 operating so as to restore the original status of the scum skimmer 30 after tilting. The timing setting mechanism 50 comprises first and second cum plates 52 and 53 rotating integrally with the main shaft 2 and a detection roller 61 which comes into contact with the cum surface 58 as the first and second cum plates 52 and 53 rotate and tumbles.
