[Also in Group XXIV] A thin walled container or closure therefor are formed with screwthreads, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2 respectively, the blank 5 of the thread being at only a slight angle to the axis of the container so that when the parts are moulded it is possible to separate each part from the mould without having to unscrew them. The angles formed by the steps of the thread are such that the flange on which the thread is formed has a mean taper. The container and closure are each formed from a sheet of plastics material, e.g polystyrene or polyvinyl chloride; the container may be of polystrene while the closure is of hard p.v.c. The screw-thread may be formed internally of the container and externally of the closure.
