The bag has a passage opening (2) provided in a section of a gas bag covering (10) before blowing the bag related to attenuation lines (3) that are outwardly extended, so that a ventilation opening is formed after disconnecting the attenuation lines. An outlet cross-section of the ventilation opening covers an outlet cross-section of the passage opening as a component. The attenuation lines run in the section of the gas bag covering. The gas from an interior of the bag is discharged through the ventilation opening.
