PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint capable of preventing generation of an abnormal sound over a long period, and capable of reducing variations in sliding resistance of a ball. SOLUTION: A ball seat 6 is interposed between a socket 5 and the ball 7 of the ball joint 1. The ball seat 6 is formed by combining a relatively hard first seat 21 and a relatively soft second seat 22 by mutual combination parts 31 and 32. The ball seat 6 includes a first pressure receiving area 41 receiving its force F1 when the F1 operates in the direction U1 for extracting the ball 7 from the socket 5.
