PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to grasp the state change of a counterpart terminal, with which the user desires to communicate by a phone call, without always confirming the state change of the counterpart terminal in a communication terminal. SOLUTION: A communication terminal acquires the states of other member terminals belonging to the same group from a server before calling. When a call origination instruction is issued to a member terminal to which a user desires to call and whose state is busy, the communication terminal continues monitoring of the state of the member terminal until the terminal state becomes ready. At the time when the terminal becomes a ready, the communication terminal notifies the state change by using a pattern B. When a phone-call start operation is executed during a notification using the pattern B showing member terminal transition to a ready state, the communication terminal calls the member terminal. The communication terminal continues to monitor whether or not the member terminal transits again to a busy state from a ready state during the notification using the pattern B.
