PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus equipped with switching operation parts that can be effectively used for a user not only in an AF mode but also in an MF mode. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 1 has an automatic focus function, a manual focus function, a normal AF, and a macro AF. The imaging apparatus 1 includes the first switching operation part for 11 switching between the AF mode and the MF mode, and the second switching operation part 12 for performing various functions according to the AF mode or MF mode in response to a user's operation. The second switching operation part 12 serves as a normal AF/macro AF switch which switches between the normal AF and micro AF according to the operation in the AF mode and also serves as a one-push AF switch which performs the macro AF according to the operation in the MF mode.
