A P2P system and a method for searching resource used with the P2P system, wherein the P2P system comprises: at least one content management servers, for managing the distribution of the content resource within the domination area thereof and accepting the requests of searching the resource of the P2P nodes within the domination area thereof; and at least one resource management servers, for managing the content resource of the P2P nodes within the domination area thereof, accepting the requests of searching the resource of the P2P nodes within the domination area thereof and the domination area of other resource management servers; and reporting the statistical information of the content resource within the domination area thereof to at least one content management servers.
