<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body fluid sampling system and method for providing such blood vessel design as to reduce or eliminate possibilities that a device brings about incorrect test results. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a test cassette including a supply part including a supply reel for reeling an uncontaminated part, a storage part for storing a contaminated part with body fluid in a test medium tape, as a storage part including a winding reel on which the contaminated part of the test medium tape is wound, and an exposure part provided between the supply part and the storage part in which part of the test medium tape is exposed to body fluid, and a sensor provided between the supply part and the storage part to detect at least one characteristic of body fluid sampled by the test medium tape at the exposure part of the cassette. The winding reel has a part where a tooth to be engaged with an energized cassette claw is engraved to rotate the winding reel in such a way that the test medium tape is not removed, but supplied to the storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
