PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a living activity estimation device, for reducing the labor in combinatorial learning of operating states of all equipment in a house, reducing estimation error even when new unknown equipment is operated, and estimating a behavior of a person such as action or location with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The living activity estimation device comprises an equipment state detection means 430 for detecting a state of equipment used by the person. A reference action entry 461 holds data showing a correlation between a behavior of the person and a state of equipment used when the person performs the behavior, a matching means 450 retrieves the corresponding reference action entry 461 from a reference action entry dictionary 460 on the basis of the equipment state detected by the equipment state detection means 430, and the behavior of the person is estimated based on the correspondence shown by the reference action entry 461 obtained by the retrieval.
