PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing film like optical waveguide by which a piece of film like optical waveguide is easily obtained without cutting or blanking. SOLUTION: On a substrate 1, partitions are formed to create regions corresponding to a plurality of film like optical waveguides W, an underclad layer 2 and a core 3 thereon are formed on each region to make the film like optical waveguide W, and next each film like optical waveguide W is peeled off from the substrate 1.
