PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detector having a chamber member which can be sufficiently deformed by a collision while securing the hardness of a bumper absorber. SOLUTION: This pedestrian collision detector 1 includes the chamber member 10 and the bumper absorber 13. The bumper absorber 13 is composed of a body 130 and a deflection portion 131. The body 130 is arranged at the side of the lower portion of the front surface of a bumper reinforcement 14, and has predetermined hardness. The deflection portion 131 is formed at the front end of the body 130 and deflects backward by being applied with a load. The chamber member 10 is arranged backward of the deflection portion 131. Therefore, the hardness of the bumper absorber 13 can be secured by the body 130. Since the deflection portion 131 deflects, the chamber member 10 can be deformed. Therefore, the chamber member 10 can be sufficiently deformed by the collision while securing the hardness of the bumper absorber 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
