PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image display device that narrows the moving range of the visual point of a doctor conducting diagnostic reading to achieve the enhancement efficiency in diagnostic reading and the reduction of the load to the doctor conducting the diagnostic reading, and to provide its program. SOLUTION: The medical image display device is constituted so that the tomographic area for diagnostic reading obtained by photographing the breast of a subject is taken in a main memory 3b from an X-ray CT system 1 through LUN 2 to be acquired (step S200), the backbone being an anatomical structure unconcerned with diagnostic reading removed from the acquired original image is clicked with a mouse 3g to be indicated and the indicated backbone is extracted from the original image to remove the backbone (step S201), a lung wall being an anatomical structure unconcerned with diagnostic reading is extracted from the tomographic image from which the backbone is removed to remove the lung wall in the same way (step S202) and the remaining tomographic image, from which the backbone and the lung wall being the anatomical structures unconcerned with the diagnostic reading are removed, is displayed on a display device 3c and stored in a magnetic disk 3c (step S203).
