The invention relates to a method for disinfecting using a composition with the following components: a) 40 to 99 wt. % of at least one solvent (L), b) 0.01 to 30 wt. % of at least one biocidal component (B), c) 0.01 to 20 wt. % of at least one alkinalkoxylate (A), of general formula (I) or (II), HC?C-CH2-O(-CH2-CHR1 -O-)nH (I) or H(-O-CHR1 -CH2-)n-O-CH2-C?C-CH2-O(-CH2-CHR1 -O-)n H, (II), where the group R1 independently = H or methyl and the indexes n nd n' independently = 1 to 10 and optionally further additives and/or adjuncts, suitable for disinfecting devices with metal surfaces.
