<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidistat which regulates the humidity of air by using an adsorbent and avoids beforehand diffusion of smelling ingredients of the adsorbent into the room. <P>SOLUTION: Closed space formation mechanisms 41 to 48 form closed spaces 37 and 38 around adsorption members 51 and 52 supporting an adsorbent which adsorbs and desorbs moisture.
