PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic imaging apparatus which is small-sized and capable of performing accurate focusing even on a low-resolution monitor. SOLUTION: An electronic imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging optical system (lens unit 21); an electrical imaging means (imaging section 40); a focusing adjusting means (motor driver 22 or the like) which performs adjustment for focusing by capturing focusing degree data within an imaging picture while changing a focus position prior to photographing; a focusing part determining means (CPU 31) for determining which part of the imaging picture should be focused; and a recording means (memory card 62) for recording a captured image wherein captured image data, the focusing degree data and the focusing part data are recorded in the recording means.
