APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING CONTENTS IN PORTABLE TERMINAL

An apparatus and a method for transmitting contents in a portable terminal which selectively receives and searches contents through the local area network are provided to receive metadata information of the searched contents selectively. A portable terminal providing contents is requested for a local area network connection(400). The local area network is connected in case of approving the authorization of a user(402). The portable terminal is requested for the list of the contents from the terminal(404). A contents list is searched and generated and the contents list is transmitted to the terminal(406). It confirms whether to receive contents information request(408). If there is no information request about the contents, it confirms whether to receive contents request(412). If it is requested for the contents, the portable terminal transmits contents to the terminal searching the contents which requests the contents(414).
