A method and an apparatus for encoding/decoding an image by using weighted prediction are provided to improve a compression rate of encoding an image by more accurately performing inter prediction of a current block. A plurality of motion vectors required for inter prediction of a current block is predicted. A plurality of reference blocks is selected based on the predicted motion vectors(910). The current block is classified into a plurality of domains. Weighted values allocated in the plurality of reference blocks for the inter prediction are differently set up about the plurality of domains(920). The current block is predicted based on the setting result from the plurality of reference blocks(930). The current block is encoded based on the predicted result(940).
