A method and a device for recovering an image and a computer readable recording medium on which a program for executing method is recorded are provided to remove obstacle information through a masking method to recover a recognition target object, thereby improving a recognition rate of the recognition target object. An element image group is obtained from an object(610). A recovery image is formed on each plane by imaging the element image group on a plurality of planes through an image recovery transmitting body(615). Correlation about a reference frame and a recovery image is analyzed to calculate an expansion ratio(620). The element image group is expanded at the expansion ratio. Obstacle information is removed by masking the reference image in the expanded image(625).
