PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an image with a remaining transfer history from being generated, without using a discharging means of a discharge corotron. SOLUTION: This image forming device detects a portion of an image holding body 2 with the remaining transfer history on the image holding body 2 when transferred by a transfer means, based on an image data (214), and corrects the image data used in the next image formation to make dense a density of the portion of the image holding body 2 with the remaining transfer history (216).
