SAFETY DEVICE OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of an elevator capable of being easily installed in an existing elevator without damaging a hoisting rope. SOLUTION: This safety device of an elevator comprises a lock lever 6802 actuated by a non-lock zone plate 203 provided to a door at an elevator entrance in each floor, and a car stopping device 100 for converting movement of a horizontal cam plate 6810 pushed up by the lock lever 6802 into horizontal movement of a stopping tool 102, and blocking the movement of a car by projecting in an elevating path from the car or gripping a guide rail. Even when blackout occurs while the car is traveling, the device can be easily installed to an existing elevator without damaging a hoisting rope. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
