PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve polarization and directivity of an antenna system and to make the antenna system compact and thin. SOLUTION: The antenna system includes a base material 2 provided with a feed point 1, an antenna element 3 of a conductor connected to the feed point 1 and stood on the base material 2, and a matching circuit portion 4 which is connected to the feed point 1 and antenna element 3 and provided on the base material 2 to match reactance between the antenna element 3 and a feeder Z, and the antenna element 3 has a raised portion 3a raised from the base material 2, a tuning portion 3b extended in a plane parallel to the base material 2 in one direction from an upper end of the raised portion 3a, bent or curved halfway, and then extended in the opposite direction from the one direction, and an open element portion 3c extended from a tip of the tuning portion 3b to spirally rotate in the parallel plane while starting at the raised portion 3a as a starting point.
