<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera inspection device which is capable of precisely detecting a stain in image data by reducing an influence of luminance shading that an optical system of a camera has. <P>SOLUTION: The camera inspection device 1000 includes an image data acquisition part 110 for acquiring image data obtained by imaging a reference subject, a double differential value calculation part 140 for calculating a double differential value of luminance along a prescribed direction from the image data, and a stain position detection part 161 for detecting a position of a stain in the image data from the calculation result of the double differential value calculation part 140, and detects the stain in an image caused by a foreign matter stuck to the light receiving surface of an imaging device of the camera or its peripheral part. The double differential value calculation part 140 varies a differential interval at the time of calculating the double differential values according to a position along the prescribed direction on the basis of luminance shading characteristics causing a luminance distribution in the picked-up image of the reference subject. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
