<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of keeping temperature of a membrane electrode assembly and the water content held in a cathode comprising the membrane electrode assembly in an optimum range and keeping stable output for a long time, and to provide a fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1 is equipped with the fuel cell 2 which has a unit cell 10 for the fuel cell composing an electromotive part, a fuel distributing layer 30 facing an anode conductive layer 18 and having two or more opening parts 31, a fuel supply mechanism 40 supplying liquid fuel F to the fuel distributing layer 30, a moisture retention layer 60 stacked on a cathode conductive layer 19, and a surface cover 70 stacked on the moisture retention layer 60 and having two or more air induction ports 71. The fuel cell system 1 is furthermore equipped with a moisture retention layer driving mechanism 50 for transferring the moisture retention layer 60, and a temperature detecting means 80 for measuring the temperature of a cathode gas diffusion layer 15 installed in the prescribed position of the cathode gas diffusion layer 15 of a cathode (an air electrode) 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
