PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hunting preventing system and method for a parallel passage variable transmission. SOLUTION: The system and method for virtually controlling vibration at a transmission gear ratio is disclosed. When shift is performed at a synchronizing point of substantially making antihunting hysteretic schemes impractical use, disclosed technology is selectively combined to actualize vibration control with a lock-out timer which can cancel it.
