[Classes 75 (i) and 75 (iv).] A blowlamp burning petrol or other volatile fuel is provided with a reservoir consisting of a base portion a drawn, pressed, or spun from sheet metal and a flanged cover c which is internally threaded to engage with an external thread on the base. The end of the thread on the cover is machined off to form a gap to receive solder. The burner or flame tube j is carried by a head h formed with a coned plug which is adjustably secured by nuts l, l<1> and a washer k to a socket f on a tubular fitting e screwed in a coned opening in the centre of the cover c. The fuel is vaporized in a groove m in the socket by the heat conducted back from the burner tube. The filling-plug e screws into a sleeve p which is secured in a coned orifice in the cover by nut q. A similar sleeve may be provided in the opening receiving the fitting e. The handle s is formed by a tube mounted in lugs t on a bracket u which is adjustably secured to the container by a band clip v. A key for the filling plug and a jet pricker may be housed in the handle s.</p> |
