<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine similarity between a picked-up image and a reference image by setting a similarity determination threshold corresponding to a photographic scene. <P>SOLUTION: Differences between each of a plurality of pieces of partial information corresponding to part of image information and reference information are detected repeatedly at each piece of image information, and when a minimum value among the plurality of differences detected for the plurality of pieces of partial information is smaller than a predetermined threshold, partial information from which the minimum value is obtained is recognized as information corresponding to the reference information to set the threshold based upon a history of minimum values for repeatedly output image information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
