<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt for an image forming apparatus which is excellent in efficiencies of a primary transfer and a secondary transfer and is free from the occurrence of void in an image or filming. <P>SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer belt for the image forming apparatus comprises at least three layer of a base layer made of a resin, an elastic layer containing a rubber elastic resin and a surface layer containing a fluorocarbon resin, wherein the surface layer has a surface roughness (Rz) of 0.1 to 1.5μm, a dielectric constant of 5 to 15 and a thickness if 1 to 10μm.
