<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for using a highly reliable password. <P>SOLUTION: This password issuing system is provided with an IC card for storing user identification information and a collation password, and for receiving the password from a use facility, and for comparing the password with the stored collation password for achieving user authentication; a use facility equipped with a selection means for generating use history information including user identification information, and for transmitting it to a password generation server, and for receiving a new password returned from the password generation server device, and for selecting whether to register the new password in the IC card, a password updating means for updating and registering the new password in the IC card as the collation password, and an authentication result receiving means for accepting the input of the password, and for transmitting it to the IC card, and for receiving authentication result form the IC card; and a password generation server device for receiving the use history information received by the use facility, and for generating and returning the new password. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
