PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for maintenance for a liquid jet head enabling a high quality delivering processing without any malfunction such as inferiority of jetting afterward even when an unexpected power supply interception is generated during a specified cleaning processing, a maintenance mechanism and a recording apparatus. SOLUTION: A flag is set during cleaning operation from starting a regular cleaning processing accompanied with a main suction processing for sucking ink to finishing the regular cleaning processing, and a flag for indicating incomplete of the main suction is set from starting the regular cleaning processing to finishing the main suction processing in the regular cleaning processing. At the time when an electric power source is supplied and when the flag during cleaning operation and the flag for incomplete of the main suction are set, the cleaning processing accompanied with the main suction processing is performed, and when only the flag during cleaning processing is set, a cleaning processing accompanied with a suction processing for sucking a smaller amount of the liquid than that of the main suction processing is performed.
