PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal machine that can prevent carbonization and ignition of garbage by avoiding overheating the garbage which has little moisture and is flammable. SOLUTION: The garbage disposal machine is equipped with a garbage disposal container 7, a means of microwave radiation 1 which irradiates garbage 14 with energy of a microwave, a means of detecting a reflected wave 6 which detects the reflected microwave from the garbage and a controlling means 5 which judges the termination timing of garbage heating from the output of the means of detecting a reflected wave 6. Judging that the garbage has little moisture by detecting higher level of the reflected wave than specified, the garbage heating is immediately terminated by stopping irradiation with the microwave from the means of microwave radiation 1. The garbage disposal machine can thus prevent carbonization and ignition of the garbage by avoiding overheating the garbage that has little moisture and is flammable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
