PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a live fish aquarium apparatus which can efficiently collect and remove sludge existing in the inner bottom portion of an aquarium and sludges floating on the surface of water, in the aquarium in a froth separation tank for purifying the water. SOLUTION: This live fish aquarium apparatus comprising the aquarium 2, the froth separation tank 3 communicated with the aquarium 2, a filtration tank 4 for filtering water treated in the froth separation tank, a circulation pump tank 5 for recirculating the filtered water to the aquarium, and a sterilization tank 6 for sterilizing the circulated water is characterized by dividing the aquarium and the froth separation tank with a bulkhead 31, forming an opening 32 for making the aquarium communicate with the froth separation tank and introducing lower water in the aquarium into the froth separation tank below the bulkhead, and disposing an upper water-taking device 37 for making the upper water in the aquarium flow into the froth separation tank, located above the bulkhead.
