PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens actuator that can improve frequency characteristics to stably operate an objective lens. SOLUTION: The objective lens actuator 50 comprises a base 1, a lens holder 2, and wires 9a to 9f which support the lens holder 2 in a cantilever state. On the base 1, a gel box 7 is provided which has insertion holes 10a and 10b into which the wires 9a to 9f are inserted and holds a first damping material in the insertion holes 10a and 10b. The lens holder 2 is provided with relay substrates 13a and 13b where one-end portions of the wires 9a to 9f are fixed, and the relay substrates 13a and 13b have slits 14. Further, the lens holder 2 is provided with damping material holding portions 15a and 15b into which the wires 9a to 9f are inserted to hold a second damping material.
