PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether or not a person in a vehicle is a person who is permitted to enter an entry restriction area under such circumstances that a vehicle carrying a person passes an area having the entry restriction area. SOLUTION: This security system is provided with: an in-vehicle unit 10 loaded on a vehicle 7 for acquiring person ID information from a personal identification medium of a person who gets on the vehicle 7, and for transmitting a radio signal including the person ID information and in-vehicle unit ID information; and a monitoring device 26 installed in an area 1 having a zone 2 whose entry is restricted for receiving the radio signal from the in-vehicle unit 10, and for operating warning display. The monitoring device 26 is provided with: a database for storing the in-vehicle unit ID information of the in-vehicle unit 10 of the vehicle 7 which is permitted to enter the area 1 and the person ID information of the person who is permitted to enter the zone 2; and a retrieval processing part for outputting data for warning display when either the result of the collation of the in-vehicle unit ID information included in the radio signal with the in-vehicle unit ID information in the database or the result of the collation of the person ID information included in the radio signal with the person ID information in the database is not established.
