METHOD OF SECURING VISIBILITY THROUGH GLASS-PANED WINDOW

A glass-paned window having a multiple-glazing structure including two or more glass plates facing each other is constituted so as to have a coating film formed on that surface of the glass plates which is to be exposed to a cold environment when the glass-paned window is in the closed state. The coating film is made of a urethane resin obtained by polymerizing at least a polyoxyalkylene polyol having an average molecular weight of 400-5,000 and a hydrophobic polyol, the hydrophobic polyol being either an acrylic polyol having an average molecular weight of 500-5,000 or a polyester polyol having an average molecular weight of 500-5,000 and a hydroxyl value of 10-200 mg-KOH/g. When the glass-paned window is open, the coating film absorbs water in contact therewith. After the open glass-paned window is closed, the coating film releases the water which has been absorbed therein, whereby the coating film can come into the state of being capable of absorbing water.
