<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device suppressing abrasion of a foil bearing with simple structure, and to provide a centrifugal compressor having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing device comprises: a rotor having a flange part; the foil bearing supporting the rotor in a radial direction; a magnetic bearing supporting the rotor in an axial direction by an electromagnet; and a control part controlling an electric current supplied to the electromagnet. The control part controls a first current for supporting the rotor in the axial direction to the electromagnet, by attracting the flange part by the electromagnet. If the revolution number of the rotor is smaller than the revolution number R1 when the first electric current is supplied to the electromagnet to lift the rotor from the foil bearing, the control part controls to supply a second electric current larger than the first current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
