PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can suppress the amount of fluid to be consumed when a reserve discharge is executed in a fluid jet apparatus. SOLUTION: The fluid jet apparatus is equipped with a storage part for storing a fluid, a head having a fluid discharge path for discharging the fluid supplied from the storage part from a plurality of nozzles and jetting the fluid directly from the storage part, and a head cap device which contacts the head and receives the fluid discharged from the nozzles and the fluid jetted from the fluid discharge path. The head and the head cap device have a head side channel and a head cap device side channel which, as the head and the head cap device remain in contact, form a circulating channel through which the fluid discharged from the storage part through the nozzles and the fluid jetted from the fluid discharge path return again to the storage part, respectively.
