PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method for recording an image superior in glossiness without reducing smoothness as much as possible in an inkjet recorder for recording an image by using pigment inks in a plurality of colors. SOLUTION: In each pixel, recording or non-recording of a pigment ink of which the deposited height on a recording medium is relatively low, is controlled corresponding to recording or non-recording of a pigment ink of which the deposited height on a recording medium is relatively high so that the deposited heights of an image recorded by the plurality of pigment inks are equalized to make the image smooth. Alternatively, gradation data capable of suppressing variation in glossiness as much as possible is selected from a plurality of pieces of gradation data having similar chromaticity and is set to an LUT which is looked up in the event of color separation processing with respect to each luminance. With the above image processing, smoothness of a recording medium can be suppressed in a prescribed range and an image free from uneven glossiness can be output. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
