PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine that can appropriately perform a control of an ignition timing in accordance with a control error of exhaust-gas return ratio, can suppress noise and vibration due to combustion, and can prevent a misfire. SOLUTION: A target main injection timing map value CAIMM and a target main injection ignition timing map value CAFMM are calculated according to an engine speed NE and a required torque TRQ. The target main injection ignition timing map value CAFMM is corrected according to a deviationΔGEGRM between a target EGR ratio map value GEGRM and an actual EGR ratio GEGR, and a fuel injection timing correction amount CAD is calculated so that a deviationΔCAM between a corrected target ignition timing CAFMCC and a main injection ignition timing CAFM decreases. Further, the target main injection timing map value CAIMM is corrected by the fuel injection timing correction amount CAD, and a fuel injection is performed in accordance with a corrected main injection timing CAIM.
