A method and a system for subscribing electronic newspaper are provided to enable a user to receive the electronic newspaper by the user decided period. An electronic newspaper terminal(100) reads the newspaper contents by regularly receiving the electronic news paper. A contents server(300) delivers the corresponding electronic newspaper by continuously manages the corresponding electronic newspaper. A communications network(200) connects the electronic newspaper terminal and contents server liver. A connection with Ethernet is preferentially required in order to the electronic newspaper terminal enforce the electronic newspaper delivery service. In this way, the electronic newspaper terminal is connected to Ethernet and IP about the terminal is passively obtained automatically.
