<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spread composition containing a cod roe processed product, and having proper spreadability and superior workability when making cod roe French bread, to provide a method for producing the spread composition, and to provide food using the spread composition. <P>SOLUTION: This spread composition is constituted of, in the whole spread composition, 10-60 wt.% cod roe processed product, 5-40 wt.% butter, and 5-30 wt.% mayonnaise.
