FREE FATTY ACIDS FOR INTERFERING WITH GROWTH OF FUSARIUM GRAMINEARUM

<p>The present application discloses methods and compositions for interfering with the growth of the fungus Fusarium graminearum by exposing the fungus to free fatty acids exhibiting antimicrobial activity. These compositions include compositions comprising the free fatty acids: unsaturated fatty acid, capric acid, myristoleic acid and lauric acid. This application further discloses that these free fatty acids may be derived from cream, such as whey cream, as a virtually unlimited non-limiting source for these molecules.</p>
