PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passage open/close control system for a mobile rack excellent in security function. SOLUTION: The passage open/close control system for the mobile rack includes: a plurality of mobile racks 2 which are movable in the back and forth direction and are placed in parallel in an accumulation state in the back and forth direction; driving means 3 which are provided for each of the mobile racks 2 and move the mobile racks in the back and forth direction; an input means 4 capable of inputting identification information on a user and information about which of the mobile racks 2 is used; an authentication means 5 for collating the identification information on the user input by the input means 4 with pre-registered registered identification information to determine whether or not the two coincide; a control means 6 for performing control so as to allow the driving means 3 to drive so that a working passage opens between the mobile rack to be used and its adjacent mobile rack when the authentication means 5 determines that the two information coincide and block driving of the driving means 3 when the authentication means 5 determines that they do not coincide; and a warning means 8 for providing warning information when the passage exists after a prescribed time passes.
